Isuzu 4JG1 1992–2002 Golden Alloy Oem 8-97023-182-1 Crankshaft 4jg2 Pickup Forklift Elf Nkr Npr Light Truck – OEM 8-97023-182-1

Product Overview: This forged steel engine crankshaft is a direct-fit replacement component engineered for Isuzu 4JG1 engines. It is produced to original equipment tolerances and is intended to replace a worn, bent, cracked or journal-damaged original crankshaft without modification. It covers 3.1 litre applications and is supplied in STD as a forged steel component.

Key Features: The crankshaft is CNC-machined on precision centres to hold main and rod journal diameters, fillet radii, stroke and end-float within original equipment limits. Hardened, ground and micro-polished journals provide the surface quality required for stable oil pressure and long bearing life. The shaft is inspected for straightness and journal finish before packing, and is supplied coated in protective anti-rust oil. Oil passages are drilled and deburred to the original layout, supporting correct lubrication of the main and connecting rod bearings.

Vehicle Compatibility: This part is listed for Isuzu, covering model families such as 4JG2. Documented fitment covers model years 1992-2002. Early and late builds of the same engine can use different revisions, so identification from the original component is essential.

Specifications: Key specifications: engine code 4JG1; displacement 3.1 L; cylinder configuration Inline 4 (L4); material Forged Steel; size STD; condition New; warranty 12 Months. Manufacturing is carried out under ISO 9001 / TS16949 quality systems.

OEM / Reference Numbers: OEM and cross-reference numbers covered by this listing are 8-97023-182-1.

Applications: Typical uses include engine overhauls, bottom-end rebuilds, fleet maintenance and repair of vehicles withdrawn from service because of bearing failure or bottom-end noise. The part is a sensible stock item for workshops that service this engine family regularly and want to minimise vehicle downtime. Holding a standard-size unit in stock helps workshops complete rebuilds without waiting for machining or exchange parts.

Benefits / Replacement Information: Fitting this part corrects bottom-end noise and vibration, restores oil pressure and returns the engine to reliable service. Because the shaft is supplied in standard size and ready to fit, it avoids the lead time and expense of re-grinding an original unit.

Installation or Fitment Notes: Prior to installation, verify the reference number, measure all journals and inspect the block and bearing bores for wear or distortion. Use new bearing shells, set clearances with plastigauge or a bore gauge, and torque the main and connecting rod bolts to the manufacturer's sequence and figures. Confirm thrust clearance, prime the lubrication circuit, and observe a careful running-in period with fresh oil. Cleanliness during assembly is critical; keep machined surfaces free of swarf, grit and moisture at all times.
