Subaru WRX / Legacy / Outback 2008-2014 6 Speed Dual Adjustable Short Throw Shifter
Description

Product Overview

This dual adjustable short throw shifter is listed for 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, Legacy and Outback models with a six-speed manual gearbox. Made from aluminium, it reduces gear lever travel for quicker, more precise shifts, and its adjustable design allows the throw and feel to be tailored to the driver's preference.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Dual adjustable design, as described in the title
  • Short throw for quicker gear changes
  • Aluminium construction
  • Designed for six-speed manual gearboxes
  • Listed for WRX, Legacy and Outback
  • Tunable feel to suit street or track use

Vehicle Compatibility

The listing title names the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, Legacy and Outback six-speed, while the specifications state Subaru. Subaru used both five-speed and six-speed gearboxes in this period, and the WRX is commonly five-speed, so fitment must be checked carefully. This fitment is supplier-stated and has not been independently verified; please confirm your gearbox before ordering.

Product Specifications

  • Product type: short throw shifter
  • Material: aluminium
  • Adjustment: dual adjustable (per title)
  • Gearbox: 6-speed manual (per title)
  • Years: 2008-2014 (per title)
  • Package size: 27 x 7 x 7 cm; gross weight approx. 0.8 kg

Installation and Usage

Installation involves removing the centre console and factory shifter, and fitting the short shifter with the correct bushes and seals. A competent mechanic should carry out the work. Set the adjustment carefully, then check that all gears and reverse can be selected cleanly. Shorter throws may increase shift effort.

Package Contents

The listing implies a short throw shifter as pictured; the supplier model reference also lists an additional part number, so a bushing or accessory may be included. Bushes and fasteners have not been confirmed.

Important Fitment Notice

Please send us your VIN or chassis number and gearbox details before ordering so we can help confirm fitment. Images are for reference only. Contact us if you are unsure whether your car has a five- or six-speed gearbox.
