VW Golf GTI MK7 2015-2017 Stainless Steel Valved Cat-Back Exhaust System
Description

Product Overview

This stainless steel valved cat-back exhaust is designed for the Volkswagen Golf GTI MK7. Covering both the centre and rear sections of the exhaust, it pairs smooth stainless pipework with an adjustable valve system so drivers can enjoy a more spirited exhaust note on a backroad and a calmer sound in everyday traffic.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Adjustable exhaust valve system
  • Stainless steel pipework with a smooth silver finish
  • Replaces the centre and rear exhaust sections
  • Suits street and performance use
  • Retains the factory catalytic converter
  • A tidy upgrade for owners refreshing an older hot hatch

Vehicle Compatibility

The supplier's detailed specifications list 2015-2017 VW MK7 GTI models. The listing title also mentions MK8 and MK8.5, which is not supported by the specifications. Fitment is supplier-stated, has not been independently verified, and is unclear for later generations, so please confirm compatibility with us before ordering. MK7.5 owners should also confirm.

Product Specifications

  • Product type: valved cat-back exhaust system
  • Material: stainless steel
  • Finish: smooth, silver
  • Thickness: standard (exact figure not stated)
  • Exhaust section: centre and rear
  • Valve type: adjustable exhaust valve system
  • Year (per specs): 2015-2017

Installation and Usage

A professional exhaust installer should fit this system. With the vehicle raised and the exhaust cold, the factory sections behind the catalytic converter are removed and replaced. The valve system needs to be connected and tested for correct operation. Afterwards, check tip alignment, hanger fit and joint sealing, and recheck clamps after a few drives.

Package Contents

The listing implies the centre and rear valved exhaust sections as pictured. Clamps, gaskets, tips and valve control parts have not been confirmed by the supplier.

Important Fitment Notice

Please send us your VIN or chassis number before purchasing so we can help verify which GTI generation this suits. Exhaust changes must meet New Zealand noise limits and WoF requirements, and the owner is responsible for compliance. Images are for reference only.
