Described by the listing as an alloy camber control arm, it suits the multi-link front suspension used on several Audi and Volkswagen models and replaces arms with worn bushes or joints.

Multi-link front suspensions rely on several arms working together, and wear in a single lower arm can cause clunks, uneven tyre wear, steering shimmy or poor straight-line stability. Replacing worn arms restores the intended steering feel and geometry.

Vehicle compatibility

Listing attributes mention the Volkswagen Tiguan, Passat and Golf and the Audi A3, A6 C5 and A4 B8, while the part listing also references Volvo. The automated fitment table lists Skoda Octavia III, Seat Leon and Mercedes-Benz models, which use different suspension designs. Because the data is inconsistent, please check the OE number on your existing arm and confirm by VIN before ordering.

Key features

Front lower arm, suitable for left or right side

Material options listed: aluminium, steel or metal

OE standard size

Referenced to 4D0407693E and 8E0407693E

New condition replacement

Specifications

Part type

Front lower control arm

Fitting position

Front lower, left/right

OE-reference numbers

4D0 407 693 E / 8E0 407 693 E

Material

Aluminium / metal / steel (options listed)

Size

OE standard

Condition

New

Sold per

Box

Approx. packed dimensions

50 x 20 x 20 cm

Approx. packed weight

5.0 kg

Installation

Fitting should be completed by a qualified mechanic.
