It suits a range of classic BMW six-cylinder and four-cylinder petrol models, including the E30 and E36 3 Series, E34 5 Series and Z3. Radiators on these cars are a known weak point as they age, with plastic tanks becoming brittle and cores clogging, so a fresh unit is a sensible preventive repair.

Vehicle compatibility

Representative rows from the 24-row listed fitment list:

BMW 3 Series E36 saloon, coupe and convertible 323i, 325i and 328i (1990s)

BMW 3 Compact E36 318ti and 323ti (1994–2000)

BMW 3 Series Convertible E30 325i (1985–1993)

BMW 5 Series and 5 Touring E34 525i (1990s)

BMW Z3 Roadster and Coupe 1.9i, 2.8i and 3.0i (1995–2003)

Radiator size can vary with transmission type and air-conditioning, so match the OE number on your current radiator.

Key features

Aluminium core with PA66 GF30 (glass-reinforced nylon) tanks, per the listing

Core construction option: aluminium brazed or expanded pipe (select at order)

Five OE-reference numbers listed

New replacement unit for the automotive cooling system

Specifications

Part type

Radiator

OE-reference numbers

17111728907, 17111728905, 17111469175, 17101715319, 17111469176

Materials

Aluminium core, PA66 GF30 tanks

Core processing

Aluminium brazed or expanded pipe

Condition

New

Sold per

Box

Approx. packed dimensions

75 x 55 x 10 cm

Approx. packed weight

3.0 kg

Installation

Allow the engine to cool completely. Drain the coolant, remove the fan shroud and hoses, and lift the radiator out.
