BMW E36 E39 Short Hub Steering Wheel Boss Kit with Sport Steering Wheel
Description

Product Overview

This listing combines a sport steering wheel with a short hub boss kit, listed for BMW E36 and E39 models. A boss kit (hub adapter) allows an aftermarket steering wheel to be fitted to the factory steering column, and the short hub design keeps the wheel closer to the dashboard. The supplier lists aluminium as the material, but full specifications were not provided.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Short hub boss kit design
  • Sport steering wheel, per the title
  • Aluminium construction, as listed
  • Listed for BMW E36 and E39
  • Popular modification for track and drift cars

Vehicle Compatibility

The listing title names BMW E36 and E39 models, while the specifications simply state BMW. Years, airbag configuration and steering column details were not provided, and the title also describes the wheel as universal. This fitment is supplier-stated and has not been independently verified, so please confirm compatibility with us before ordering.

Product Specifications

  • Product type: steering wheel and short hub boss kit
  • Material: aluminium (as listed)
  • Chassis: E36, E39 (per title)
  • Wheel diameter, dish and bolt pattern: not stated
  • Package size: 13 x 13 x 6 cm
  • Gross weight: approx. 0.4 kg

Installation and Usage

Steering components are safety-critical. Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician. Removing the factory wheel usually means disabling the airbag, which must be handled safely and correctly to avoid injury and warning lights. Ensure the hub is fully seated on the spline, fasteners are tightened to specification and the horn and indicator cancelling work before driving.

Package Contents

The exact contents are unclear: the listing title mentions both a steering wheel and boss kit, but the package size suggests a hub only. Bolts and horn components have not been confirmed.

Important Fitment Notice

Please send us your VIN or chassis number before ordering so we can help check fitment. Removing an airbag or modifying steering components may affect WoF compliance and may require certification in New Zealand, so check requirements before fitting. Images are for reference only.
