Description

Product Overview

This aluminium drift steering lock kit adapter is listed for the BMW E36 and E46. The supplier states it increases steering angle by 25 percent, making it a popular modification for drift and grassroots motorsport builds where extra lock helps maintain control at large slip angles. It uses M12 mounting screws and is available in several colours.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Drift lock kit adapter for E36 and E46
  • 25 percent increased steering angle, as stated by the supplier
  • Aluminium construction
  • M12 mounting screws
  • Colour options: silver, black or blue

Vehicle Compatibility

The supplier lists the BMW E36 and E46, with a year field of 2015-2017 that does not match these models. Steering rack type, wheel and tyre size and body clearances all affect how much extra lock is usable. Fitment is supplier-stated and must be confirmed for your vehicle before ordering.

Installation and Usage

A suspension and steering specialist should fit this kit. Install the adapters at the steering arm mounting points with the correct fasteners and torque. After installation, check full lock in both directions for clearance to tyres, brake lines, wiring and bodywork, and adjust steering stops if needed. A professional wheel alignment is essential afterwards.

Package Contents

Lock kit adapters as pictured. The quantity and fasteners have not been itemised by the supplier.

Important Fitment Notice

This product is intended for motorsport use. In New Zealand, steering modifications on road vehicles generally require Low Volume Vehicle certification before a Warrant of Fitness can be issued. Please send us your VIN before ordering so we can help confirm fitment. Please include your wheel and tyre sizes and any other steering or suspension modifications when you contact us, so we can advise on likely clearance.
