These mouldings run along the outer door skin, helping to protect the paint from car-park knocks while adding a styling line along the side of the car.

Vehicle compatibility

No make, model, year range or fitment rows have been supplied for this item. In addition, the listing attributes describe the product name as a power window lifter switch, which does not match the title or part numbers. Because of this conflict, fitment cannot be confirmed from the listing alone. Match the OE-reference number on your existing strip, or have your VIN checked, and contact us before ordering so we can confirm the item with the listing.

Key features

Plastic construction, according to the listing

Helps guard door panels from minor dings and scuffs

Replaces a faded, cracked or missing side moulding

New condition

Specifications

Part

Door trim / protection strip

OE-reference numbers

1J4853753B, 1J4853754B, 1J4853753BGRU

Material

Plastic

Condition

New

Approx. packed dimensions

16 x 16 x 11 cm

Approx. packed weight

0.3 kg

Installation

Door mouldings are usually held by clips and adhesive tape. Remove the old strip with a plastic trim tool, taking care not to damage the paint. Clean off old adhesive with a suitable remover, wipe the surface with panel cleaner, and allow it to dry before fitting the new strip. Line it up carefully before pressing it home, as adhesive tape grips quickly. Fitting in mild temperatures gives the best bond.
