js-transmission-filter-jt517
JS Transmission Filter JT517

This JT517 transmission filter helps maintain clean fluid and smooth, consistent gear changes in your automatic transmission.

Clean fluid is essential for accurate hydraulic control inside an automatic transmission. Over time, friction material and metal particles build up in the fluid, and a worn filter can lead to harsh shifts, slipping or overheating.

Specifications

Part number: JT517

Condition: new

Fitment and replacement

Confirm fitment by matching the part number above against your old filter, your vehicle's service book or a parts catalogue for your exact make, model, engine and year. If you are unsure, send us your registration or VIN and we will check it for you. Replace the filter whenever the transmission pan is removed or the fluid is changed. Clean the pan and magnets, fit a new gasket, tighten bolts to specification and check the fluid level using the manufacturer's procedure.

Use only the transmission fluid type specified by the vehicle manufacturer when refilling. Stocked in New Zealand and dispatched quickly, so your vehicle spends less time off the road. Automatic transmission fluid also cools and lubricates internal parts, so keeping it clean is important for long gearbox life. Workshops can order with confidence for customer vehicles, and private owners can tackle routine maintenance knowing the part is made to suit the job. Our team is happy to answer questions about specifications, compatibility or ordering in larger quantities for fleet and workshop use. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's service schedule and fitting instructions, and have the work carried out by a qualified technician if you are not confident doing it yourself. Every part is checked against its part number before dispatch, so what arrives matches what you ordered. If you are unsure about fitment, send us your vehicle registration, make, model and year before ordering and we will help you confirm the right part. Pairing this part with a general inspection of the surrounding components is good practice, as related parts often wear at a similar rate. Store spare parts in a cool, dry place in their original packaging until they are needed.
