js-transmission-filter-jt554k
JS Transmission Filter JT554K

The JT554K automatic transmission filter kit keeps transmission fluid free of wear particles and debris, helping protect valve bodies, solenoids and clutches. Kit versions are supplied with the sealing components typically needed for the job, so the service can be completed in one go.

Clean fluid is essential for accurate hydraulic control inside an automatic transmission. Over time, friction material and metal particles build up in the fluid, and a worn filter can lead to harsh shifts, slipping or overheating.

Specifications

Part number: JT554K

Supplied as: kit

Condition: new

Fitment and replacement

Confirm fitment by matching the part number above against your old filter, your vehicle's service book or a parts catalogue for your exact make, model, engine and year. If you are unsure, send us your registration or VIN and we will check it for you. Replace the filter whenever the transmission pan is removed or the fluid is changed. Clean the pan and magnets, fit a new gasket, tighten bolts to specification and check the fluid level using the manufacturer's procedure.

Keeping a spare on the shelf is a sensible move for workshops, fleet operators and home mechanics who would rather not wait on parts. Workshops can order with confidence for customer vehicles, and private owners can tackle routine maintenance knowing the part is made to suit the job. If you are unsure about fitment, send us your vehicle registration, make, model and year before ordering and we will help you confirm the right part. Use only the transmission fluid type specified by the vehicle manufacturer when refilling. Regular transmission servicing is especially worthwhile for vehicles used for towing or heavy loads. Automatic transmission fluid also cools and lubricates internal parts, so keeping it clean is important for long gearbox life. Our team is happy to answer questions about specifications, compatibility or ordering in larger quantities for fleet and workshop use. Every part is checked against its part number before dispatch, so what arrives matches what you ordered. Store spare parts in a cool, dry place in their original packaging until they are needed.
