Porsche Cayman / Boxster / 911 996 997 991 Short Shifter - Blue Aluminium
Description

Product Overview

This blue aluminium short shifter is listed for Porsche sports cars, including the Cayman, Boxster and the 911 in 996, 997 and 991 generations. It shortens the gear lever travel for quicker, more precise gear changes, sharpening the feel of the manual gearbox. The blue finish adds a distinctive detail for owners personalising their Porsche, and the shorter throw complements the precise, connected driving experience these cars are known for.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Shorter throw for faster gear changes
  • Aluminium construction
  • Blue colour finish
  • Listed for multiple Porsche models
  • Compact, lightweight design

Vehicle Compatibility

The supplier states this shifter fits the Porsche Cayman and Boxster, and the title also names the 991, 996 and 997. Year ranges given span 1996 to 2013 but are not matched to specific models. This fitment is supplier-stated and has not been independently verified. Shifter mechanisms vary between Porsche generations and gearboxes, so please confirm compatibility for your car before ordering.

Product Specifications

  • Product type: short shifter
  • Material: aluminium

Installation and Usage

Installation usually involves removing the centre console trim and gear knob, then replacing the factory shift lever components with the short shifter. Porsche interiors can be delicate, so care is needed to avoid damaging trim. We recommend fitting by a qualified mechanic familiar with Porsche vehicles. Test that every gear selects smoothly, including reverse, before driving on the road.

Package Contents

Short shifter as pictured. The supplier has not confirmed whether bushings, bolts, a gear knob or instructions are included; other contents not confirmed.

Important Fitment Notice

Because the supplier has listed several Porsche generations without clear year matching, fitment checking is essential. Please send us your VIN or chassis number along with your gearbox type, and we will help confirm compatibility before you order.
