Overview

This new right-hand drive hydraulic power steering rack assembly suits the Toyota HiAce KDH200 and KDH201 3.0L 1KD-FTV diesel van, bus and Commuter (2005–2019). It is listed against OE 44200-26470 and 44200-26411, cross-referenced to 44200-26471, 44250-26471 and 44200-26410, and is a new unit — not a reconditioned or exchange rack.

The rack-and-pinion assembly converts steering wheel input into side-to-side movement at the wheels, with hydraulic assistance from the power steering pump. A replacement is the practical fix for heavy steering, fluid loss at the pinion seal or rack boots, knocking over bumps, or play that cannot be adjusted out. It is supplied as a complete assembled rack, not a bare housing.

HiAce vans and Commuters often cover high kilometres in courier, trade and passenger work, which puts steady wear on the rack seals and bushes. Fitment & Installation

Professional installation is recommended. A wheel alignment is mandatory after fitting. Flush and refill the power steering system with the correct fluid, bleed it fully before driving, check the pinion seal and boots for leaks after the first road test, and torque the mounting bolts to specification.
