It is referenced to OE numbers 5G0821105B and 5G0821106B, and the option offered is the left-hand guard. A front guard takes the brunt of corner impacts and parking scrapes, and replacing a creased or torn guard is often quicker and neater than repairing it.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing names the VW Golf 2016-onward facelift as the application. The listed fitment table includes about 100 rows covering Golf hatchback, Variant, Estate and e-Golf models from Mexican, South African, US and Dutch market data, with year ranges that are broad and sometimes inconsistent. Because guards can differ between hatchback, wagon and pre- and post-facelift versions, please check the number on your existing guard or confirm with a dealer using your VIN before ordering.

Key features

Steel front guard for the facelift Golf

Left-hand (LH) option available

OE-reference numbers 5G0821105B and 5G0821106B

New panel suitable for collision repair

Specifications

Part type

Front guard / fender

OE-reference numbers

5G0821105B, 5G0821106B

Listed vehicle

Volkswagen Golf, 2016-onward facelift

Option

Fender LH

Material

High-strength steel

Condition

New

Approx. packed dimensions

160 x 70 x 75 cm

Approx. packed weight

13.5 kg

Installation

To replace the guard, the front bumper, headlight, wheel arch liner and side repeater (where fitted) are usually removed first. Unbolt the old guard, clean the mounting faces and offer up the new panel loosely so the gaps to the bonnet, door and bumper can be set before final tightening.
