volkswagen-golf-vii-mk7-2012-2019-led-headlight-assembly-5g1941005e-05449
Volkswagen Golf VII (Mk7) 2012–2019 LED Headlight Assembly 5G1941005E

Overview

This LED headlight assembly is a replacement unit for the seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf. It is referenced to OE numbers 5G1941005, 5G1941005E, 5G1941029, 5G1941006, 5G1941006E and 5G1941030. A clouded lens, broken mounting tab, moisture inside the housing or a failed LED module can all reduce visibility, and replacing the full assembly is usually the most reliable way to restore clear, even light output.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists the Volkswagen Golf VII hatchback (5G1, BQ1, BE1, BE2) from 2012, the Golf VII Variant wagon (BA5, BV5) from 2013 and the Golf Alltrack (BA5) from 2014. The listing title quotes a 2012–2019 range. Golf VII headlights were produced in halogen, xenon and LED versions with different wiring, so the lamp type must match your car. Check whether your existing lights are LED before choosing this assembly, and note the part number label on the rear of the housing.

Key features

Complete LED headlight assembly with housing and lens

6000K cool white light colour

Designed as a plug-in replacement on 12 V systems, according to the listing

Restores a tidy front-end appearance after accident damage or lens deterioration

Specifications

Part type

LED headlight assembly

OE-reference numbers

5G1941005, 5G1941005E, 5G1941029, 5G1941006, 5G1941006E, 5G1941030

Voltage

12 V

Colour temperature

6000K

Option

Cool White light colour

Condition

New

Approx. packed dimensions

56 x 28 x 22 cm

Approx. packed weight

4.0 kg

Installation

Professional installation is recommended. Removing a Golf VII headlight normally requires the front bumper to be partially or fully removed. Disconnect the battery before unplugging the lamp, and check the new unit's connector matches your loom before fitting. Once installed, have the headlight aim adjusted so the beam meets road rules and does not dazzle oncoming drivers.

Fitment checks before ordering

New Zealand vehicles are right-hand drive, and headlight beam patterns differ between markets.
