volkswagen-lavida-2012-2014-front-left-steel-door-shell-5u4831055-00429
Volkswagen Lavida 2012–2014 Front Left Steel Door Shell 5U4831055

Overview

This is a replacement front left door shell in steel, referenced to OE number 5U4831055 and the cross-reference code SYSV027G-007L. It is intended for repairs where the driver-side front door on a left-hand-drive vehicle, or the passenger-side front door on a right-hand-drive vehicle, has been damaged beyond economical repair. The panel arrives as a bare shell ready for paint and the transfer of internal components. Replacing a heavily creased or rusted door with a new shell usually gives a better finish than extensive panel repair, and helps restore correct sealing and shut lines.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing data is mixed. The fitment row lists the Volkswagen Jetta 2012–2013, while the product attributes name the Volkswagen Lavida 2012–2014. The 5U part number prefix and the title both point to the Lavida, a model sold mainly in China, and its door shell is unlikely to interchange with the Jetta sold in New Zealand. Treat the Lavida as the reference vehicle and check carefully before assuming any other fitment.

Key features

Steel construction, according to the listing.

Black primer finish, unpainted, ready for preparation and colour-matching.

Direct replacement, vehicle-specific design.

Front left position only.

Specifications

Part type

Front door shell

Position

Front left

OE-reference

5U4831055

Cross-reference

SYSV027G-007L

Material

Steel

Finish

Black primer, unpainted

Sold by

Pallet

Approx. packed dimensions

150 x 60 x 35 cm

Approx. packed weight

15.0 kg

Installation

A door shell replacement involves transferring the window regulator, glass, lock, wiring, seals, trim and mirror from the old door, then painting and aligning the new shell.
