It is a practical solution for cracked, split or scuffed bumpers, missing mounting tabs, or damage from a minor front-end collision, giving an older Passat a tidy front end once painted. Because used bumpers for this generation are increasingly hard to find in good condition, a new cover is a sensible choice for keeping these cars on the road.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists 67 entries (30 shown) for the Passat B5 (including 3B2), Passat B5 Variant, Passat B5.5 and Passat B5.5 Variant, with production dates from October 1996 through to May 2005. Engines shown include 1.6, 1.8, 1.8 T, 2.0, 2.3 VR5/V5, 2.8 V6, 1.9 TDI and 2.5 TDI, with front-wheel drive, Syncro and 4Motion versions; more variants are listed beyond those shown. The part listing also mentions 1K0805588F, which relates to a different model, so please match your part number or VIN before ordering.

Key features

New replacement front bumper cover referenced to 3B5807417

Suits both sedan and Variant body styles listed in the listing data

Restores the front appearance and protects components behind the bumper

A cost-effective alternative to plastic welding a badly damaged bumper

Specifications

Part type

Front bumper cover

OE-reference number

3B5807417

Vehicles

Volkswagen Passat B5 / B5.5, sedan and Variant

Condition

New

Approx. packed dimensions

160 x 70 x 75 cm

Approx. packed weight

13.5 kg

Installation

The bumper will need to be painted to match before installation.
