The radiator support, sometimes called the front-end carrier, holds the radiator, condenser, headlight mounts and bonnet latch in position. It is commonly replaced after front-end collision damage or when mounting points have cracked.

Because it locates so many front-end components, a distorted or cracked support can lead to misaligned headlights, poor bonnet closure and uneven panel gaps, as well as cooling components that are no longer held securely.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing shows this frame for the Volkswagen Atlas, 2018 to 2019. The Atlas is a left-hand drive model sold mainly in North America, and in some markets the related model is sold under a different name. No engine or trim information and no structured fitment table were provided, so fitment is partial.

Key features

Plastic construction, as specified by the listing

Replacement for damaged existing frame

Referenced to OE number 3CG805588A

New condition structural panel

Specifications

Part type

Radiator support frame

OE-reference number

3CG805588A

Material

Plastic

Condition

New

Sold per

Box

Approx. packed dimensions

50 x 40 x 15 cm

Approx. packed weight

4.0 kg

Installation

Radiator support replacement is a significant job that involves removing the front bumper, headlights and cooling components.
