VW Golf MK4 / Jetta / GTI / Beetle / TDI / Audi TT Polyurethane Lower Dog Bone Gearbox Engine Mount
Description

Product Overview

This lower dog bone engine and gearbox mount is a direct replacement part with an aluminium body and polyurethane bushes. It is listed for the VW Golf MK4, Jetta, GTI, Beetle and TDI models, as well as the Audi TT. Polyurethane bushes are stiffer than standard rubber, helping to reduce engine movement under acceleration and gear changes.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Aluminium body with polyurethane bushes
  • Direct replacement design, per the title
  • Helps reduce engine and gearbox movement
  • Black and red finish
  • Listed for several VW and Audi models
  • Can sharpen throttle response feel and shift quality
  • A popular upgrade for modified and track-driven cars

Vehicle Compatibility

The listing title names the VW Golf MK4, Jetta, GTI, Beetle, TDI and Audi TT; the specifications only say European car. Years and engine variants were not specified. This fitment is supplier-stated and has not been independently verified, so please confirm compatibility with us before ordering.

Product Specifications

  • Product type: lower dog bone gearbox / engine mount
  • Material: aluminium and polyurethane
  • Colour: black / red
  • Size: standard
  • Package size: 38 x 38 x 10 cm
  • Gross weight: approx. 2.0 kg

Installation and Usage

The lower dog bone mount is accessed from beneath the vehicle and replaces the factory mount. Installation by a qualified technician is recommended, using new bolts where specified and tightening to the manufacturer's torque values. Stiffer polyurethane mounts can transmit more vibration into the cabin, which is normal. Inspect the mount periodically for wear, cracking or bush deterioration, especially on cars used for track days.

Package Contents

Sold as a single item: one dog bone mount as pictured. Bolts and washers have not been confirmed by the supplier.

Important Fitment Notice

Please send us your VIN or chassis number before ordering so we can help confirm fitment. Images are for reference only, and colour may vary. Our team can help match the mount to your vehicle.
