VW Golf V VI Jetta Passat B6 Tiguan Audi A3 Heater Blower Motor 1K1820015D
Description

Overview

A new cabin heater and air-conditioning blower motor for Volkswagen Group vehicles on the Golf V and Golf VI platform. It is referenced to OE-reference numbers 1K1820015D and 1K1820015E, and the part listing also quotes 1KD820015. When a blower motor bearing wears, it may squeak, rattle or vibrate, and eventually the fan can stop altogether, leaving the windscreen slow to demist.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data contains 70 entries. These include the VW Golf V and Golf V Variant (2003–2009, including GTI and R32), Golf VI and Golf VI Variant (2008–2013, including GTI and R), Jetta III and IV, Passat B6 sedan and Variant (2005–2011), Tiguan 5N (2007 onwards), Eos (2006–2015) and Caddy III (2004–2015). The part listing also mentions the Audi A3, and Skoda applications are referenced in the market list. Petrol, TSI, TFSI, FSI and TDI engines are represented. Blower motors can differ between left- and right-hand-drive vehicles, so please confirm by OE-reference number or VIN before ordering.

Key features

  • 12 V cabin blower motor
  • Covers a wide spread of VW and Audi models
  • New condition, replacing noisy or failed motors
  • Restores airflow for heating, cooling and demisting

Installation

On most of these models the motor is located behind a trim panel in the passenger-side footwell. Disconnect the battery, remove the panel, unplug the connector and rotate the motor out of its housing. Professional installation is recommended for electrical components. Test all fan speeds, and if some speeds were missing before replacement, also inspect the blower control unit or resistor.

Fitment checks before ordering

Right-hand-drive vehicles sold in New Zealand may require a different version of this motor. Compare the number on your existing unit or send us your VIN so we can confirm before you buy.

What's included

1 x blower motor. The resistor, control module and cabin filter are not included unless stated.
