It is referenced to OE numbers 1ED407151A and C, 1ED407152A and C, 1EA407151A and E, and 1EA407152A and E. The lower arm carries the ball joint that the steering knuckle pivots on, so wear in the arm, its bushes or its joint directly affects steering accuracy and braking stability.

Fitting a new arm often fixes several faults at once, since the bushes and ball joint are renewed together.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists 25 Volkswagen entries:

ID.3 2020–2024 onwards: 1st-generation Pure and Pro variants through to 2024 Pure, Pro, Pro S, GTX and GTX Performance

ID.4 2020 onwards: Pure, Pure Performance, Performance, Pro, Pro 4motion and GTX

ID.5 2021 onwards: Pro, Pro Performance, GTX and GTX 4motion, plus 2024 Pure

Key features

New front lower triangular arm

Aluminium alloy or steel construction - choose your option

Restores tight steering and eliminates front-end clunks

Ideal after impact damage or when bushes and ball joint are worn

Specifications

Part type

Front lower control arm (triangular arm)

OE-reference numbers

1ED407151A/C, 1ED407152A/C, 1EA407151A/E, 1EA407152A/E

Position

Lower

Material

Aluminium alloy or steel (option)

Condition

New

Sold per

Piece

Approx. packed dimensions (as listed)

12 x 7 x 6 cm

Approx. packed weight

6.0 kg

Installation

As a key steering and suspension component, this arm should be installed by a qualified mechanic.
