VW Jetta / Golf 1985-1998 Steering Wheel Short Hub Adaptor, 6-Bolt
Description

Product Overview

This steering wheel short hub adaptor is listed for 1985-1998 Volkswagen Jetta and Golf models. It allows an aftermarket steering wheel to be fitted to the factory column, a classic upgrade for older VW hatchbacks and sedans used for track days, show builds or retro restorations. The specifications reference a 6-bolt pattern and chrome spokes, which appear to describe a matching wheel.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Short hub adaptor design
  • Listed for 1985-1998 Jetta and Golf
  • 6-bolt wheel pattern referenced
  • Allows aftermarket steering wheel fitment
  • Supplied new

Vehicle Compatibility

The listing title names the 1985-1998 VW Jetta and Golf. Specific generations and airbag configurations were not stated, and the specifications contain steering wheel details (wood material, 15 inch diameter, chrome spokes) that may not relate to the hub itself. This fitment is supplier-stated and has not been independently verified; please confirm with us before ordering.

Product Specifications

  • Product type: steering wheel short hub adaptor
  • Vehicles: VW Jetta, Golf
  • Years: 1985-1998 (per title)
  • Mounting: 6-bolt (as listed)

Installation and Usage

Steering components are safety-critical and must be installed by a qualified technician. If the vehicle has an airbag, it must be disabled and removed safely. Fit the hub fully onto the spline, tighten to specification and connect the horn. Check horn, indicator self-cancelling and steering lock before driving.

Package Contents

The listing implies one hub adaptor as pictured. Whether a steering wheel is included is unclear from the specifications, and bolts and horn contacts have not been confirmed.

Important Fitment Notice

Please send us your VIN, model and year before ordering so we can help confirm fitment. Steering modifications may affect WoF compliance and may require certification in New Zealand. Images are for reference only. Our team is happy to help confirm what is included.
