It is listed for the Volkswagen Tiguan built by SAIC Volkswagen and transmits power from the gearbox to the front wheel through inner and outer CV joints.

A clicking noise on full lock, a clunk when taking up drive or vibration under acceleration often points to worn CV joints. Torn boots let grit in and grease out, accelerating wear. Replacing the complete shaft is usually the most efficient fix.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists the SAIC Volkswagen Tiguan from 2009, the Tiguan Blue Motion (2013–2019) and the Tiguan 4Motion (2009–2019). These are China-market builds, so the shaft may not match NZ-new or Japanese-import Tiguans. Drive shafts vary with engine, gearbox and drive type, so please confirm by OE number or VIN before ordering.

Key features

Complete front drive shaft assembly

Steel construction

Right drive shaft position

Referenced to OE number 5ND407762

New condition replacement

Specifications

Part type

Drive shaft assembly

OE-reference number

5ND 407 762

Position

Right drive shaft

Material

Steel

Condition

New

Sold per

Piece

Approx. packed dimensions

62 x 12 x 9 cm

Approx. packed weight

13.0 kg

Installation

Fitting by a qualified mechanic is recommended.
