Right Drive Shaft - $614.29
Description

Overview

A new complete front axle drive shaft with CV joints for the Volkswagen Tiguan, built from approximately 2010 to 2013. It is referenced to OE-reference numbers 5ND407761E and 5ND407762E, which the listing shows as the left and right shafts. Common signs of a worn CV joint or shaft include clicking when turning at low speed, vibration under acceleration, and grease thrown around the inside of the wheel from a split boot.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists the Volkswagen Tiguan (5N) from 2010 to 2013. Drive shafts on the Tiguan vary depending on engine, gearbox (manual or DSG), and whether the vehicle is front-wheel drive or 4motion all-wheel drive. Shaft length and spline count can differ between these versions. The listing does not specify which drivetrain combination these numbers suit, so please confirm by OE-reference number or VIN before ordering.

Key features

  • Complete drive shaft assembly with CV joints, as listed
  • Choose the left or right drive shaft option to suit your repair
  • Aluminium/alloy material listed
  • New condition, avoiding the need to rebuild individual joints

Installation

Drive shaft replacement involves releasing the hub nut, separating the lower suspension joint, and unbolting the inner CV flange from the gearbox. A new hub nut or bolt is normally required, torqued to specification with the vehicle on its wheels. As this work affects driveline and suspension safety, professional installation is recommended. Road test afterwards and check for noises or vibration.

Fitment checks before ordering

Please confirm your Tiguan's gearbox type and drivetrain, and check the number on your existing shaft or provide your VIN, before you order, so we can be sure the correct length and spline are supplied.

What's included

Contents as pictured/listed for the selected option; hub nuts and flange bolts are not included unless stated.
